Electromagnetic Compatibility
- International Electromagnetic Compatibility Standards
Defines the electromagnetic compatibility standards that must be met by
the product or equipment
e.g.) FCC Part 15 for the United States, EN 55022 for Europe
- Power Line Harmonics
Determines the amount of harmonic interference introduced into the power
line from the product or equipment and determines if methods are required
to reduce the levels to meet international standards
- Conducted Interference
Determines the conducted emissions (RF interference) conducted from the
product or equipment through its power cord to the facility and determines
if these levels meet the requirements defined in the international standards
- Radiated Interference
Determines the magnitude of radiation emitted by the product or equipment
and determines if this level of radiation is sufficiently below the level
allowed by the international standards
- Electromagnetic Susceptibility
Determines the areas in the product or equipment susceptible to generated
interference as defined in the international standards
- Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing
Performs the testing to determine the levels of interference generated by
the product or equipment and defines the frequencies that do not meet international
standards
Performs the testing to determine the frequencies where the product or equipment
does not meet international susceptibility requirements
