System Integration
- Physical Location and Space Requirements
Establishes the available location and space available for all components
to be integrated into the design.
Determines the necessary mounting features and hardware required for the
design
- Mechanical and Software Interfaces
Defines the relationships between the electrical functions and the functions
provided by the mechanical and software designs
Assures that the electrical design takes advantage of the features and benefits
provided by the mechanical and software designs and integrates well with
their interfaces
- Power, Control, Sensing, Actuation Cabling and Harnessing Interfaces
These interfaces are within the electrical design and relate to the electrical
subsystem interfaces provided by power distribution, electrical control,
sensing, actuation, cabling and harnessing
The designs for these functions directly affect the International Marketability,
Electromagnetic Compatibility, Susceptibility and Product Safety of the
product or equipment designed
- Prototyping, Testing and Evaluation
Prototypes of the electrical designs for power distribution, harnessing,
cabling, sensing, control boards and actuators (such as motors, solenoids,
etc) are built and integrated into the equipment and tested at the system
level to determine that all requirements are met.
Complete documentation on all testing is provided with the product or equipment
- Packaging, Documentation and Delivery
The deliverable product or equipment is packaged for delivery
complete engineering and releasable documentation is provided with the product
or equipment
